When I started my practice, one of the books I read suggested keeping the diplomas a non-readable distance from clients, so they couldn’t see that you had just graduated. Then, there is a later phase where one kept credentials at a non-readable distance from clients because they can’t believe anyone could be that old. Perhaps a 12-step program would have been appropriate before things reached this stage.
